Driven by the desire to continue honing his skills in the construction industry, Jose Perez began building homes with Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola in 2009.
“We are God’s hands and feet,” Roman said. “We have to do things for Him. That’s why I want to help and do good for as long as I can.”
The rewards of being a crew leader with Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County are whatever you make of them, according to Bill Droste. Bill would know. His volunteer work at a church-sponsored Habitat build site expanded into 20 years of dedicated service with Habitat Orlando & Osceola.
“Every year, we learn new skills,” says Kelli of her six years participating in Women Build. “We get something out of it, and we get to give back.”
