We Empower through Knowledge
We offer classes and workshops, housing and financial counseling services, homeownership tips, and educational e-newsletters to help members of our community navigate their financial and homeownership journey. All of our educational services are free and open to the public (you don’t have to be a Habitat homeowner).

Classes and Workshops
Financial and Home Maintenance Classes
Our classes are free for everyone and are offered in-person in Orlando and Osceola County, as well as virtually. Topics include saving, investing, budgeting, building credit, estate planning, foreclosure prevention, and home maintenance.
First-Time Homebuyer Workshops
Certified First-time Homebuyer Workshops, offered monthly in both English and Spanish, are eight-hours long and help people become homebuyer-ready and qualify for certain down payment assistance programs.
Counseling
Housing Counseling
We provide free one-on-one housing counseling sessions to help you save for and purchase a home, prevent foreclosure, maintain your existing home, and more. We are a HUD-approved housing counseling agency, and this service is available to the public. You do not have to be a Habitat homeowner to participate. (*A small fee for a credit report may apply.)
Financial Counseling
The Orange County Financial Empowerment Center is a public service in partnership with Orange County Government that is available to anyone who lives or works in Orange County, Florida. In one-on-one sessions, certified counselors can help you build financial stability by giving you the resources to budget and save, pay down debt, boost your credit scores, and plan for the future—at no cost.

Homeowners Digest E-newsletter
Homeowners Digest is our educational e-newsletter where we share information about how to set and achieve your financial and housing goals. Topics include types of homeowner’s insurance, how to plan for potential disasters, and information about our many programs and services that are available to you.
