Their days of driving by their under construction Habitat home long behind them, Alethia and her family recently celebrated their newfound homeownership with a Home Celebration.
These virtual events honor the newest Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County.
Alethia and her family worked hard for homeownership – taking on 200 hours of sweat equity and 17 homeownership classes. Their hard work paid off in July 2020, when Alethia closed on their home.
In an earlier story, Alethia said she was looking forward to giving herself and her children security through homeownership. Read more of Alethia’s story here. >>
Alethia, we at Habitat Orlando & Osceola are so impressed by you. You wanted to give your family a stable place to live – and you worked through our program to achieve this.
We know that owning a safe home can transform a person’s future. Once free from unsafe housing and rent hikes, homeowners can invest in themselves and their families. Homeowners can instead turn their attention to attaining higher education, better healthcare, and more.
We wish all of this and more for Alethia and her family!
