Bank BB Americas has started collaborating with Habitat for Humanity Miami a few years ago. Following the growth of the bank in the last years, we have started expanding the collaboration with nonprofits in the Bank’s Assessment Areas (Miami Dade, Broward, Orange and Osceola). Recently we have starting collaborating with Habitat for Humanity Broward and now with Habitat for Humanity Orlando.
What is BB Americas Bank mission when it comes to philanthropy? How does working with Habitat Orlando & Osceola help further that mission
BB Americas Bank’s CRA focus is on Affordable Housing, Financial Literacy, Food Support, and Community Development. For this reason, we believe that the missions of BBA and Habitat for Humanity are strongly aligned, making our partnership a natural fit.
We’ve love hosting volunteers from our corporate community. What benefits do you hope your team will experience working on a Habitat home?
The BBA team has already volunteered with Habitat Miami and Broward, and it has been a wonderful experience because it truly combines teamwork with the meaningful purpose of helping people.
What would you say to other organizations that are considering donating, volunteering, or partnering with Habitat Orlando & Osceola?
Once your organization supports and collaborates with Habitat for Humanity, the company as a whole can feel the power and impact it has in the community, creating a sense of fulfillment and purpose that goes beyond business.
