What about Habitat Orlando & Osceola’s own mission resonated with you?
The mission of Habitat for Humanity aligns with our own mission statement perfectly, which is “Passionately Improving the Places We Gather.” It is our goal to improve the lives of everyone we come into contact with, whether it be our customers, team members, or our communities. Our homes and places of work are where we gather and Habitat understands the importance of people having a place to call home, raise children, gather with family and friends. It is our honor to join in assisting in making this dream come true for our community.
What is you company’s mission when it comes to philanthropy? How does working with Habitat Orlando & Osceola help further that mission?
We believe that generosity is a powerful mechanism for the human soul and can arrive in many ways. Moving in generosity not only makes our community better, but it also makes our team members better. It is our aim to give time, skills and financial support to individuals and organizations that share and understand the power of generosity and who make an impact on our communities.
We’ve love hosting volunteers from our corporate community. What benefits do you hope your team will experience working on a Habitat home?
We are all guilty of being so focused on our daily lives and the demands of that, that we forget to say yes to helping, to giving, and to our communities. The time and work we do every day is not only a blessing to us personally, but that same work can be a blessing and benefit to many. The amazing team members we have deserve to experience that type of work.
What would you say to other organizations that are considering donating, volunteering, or partnering with Habitat Orlando & Osceola?
To other organizations I would say, why wait. Why not allow yourselves and your teams to go outside of the walls of your organizations to impact a cause greater than themselves. Giving our time and resources to our communities gives us the chance to change lives.
