Throughout the remainder of 2026 and into 2027, we’re excited to continue expanding our impact to additional communities across Central Florida. Here’s a taste of what we have in store and how you can get involved:

Putting up walls in Parramore

We have built more than 70 homes in Parramore – including 10 last year. We were honored in May with a Golden Brick Award by the Downtown Orlando Partnership in the Sustainability & Resiliency category for this work showing how thoughtful housing investment creates lasting impact. We break ground on two more homes in Parramore in August.

Holding strong in Holden Heights

We’re proud to have nearly 50 homes built or under construction in Orange County’s Holden Heights Thanks in part to support from Orange County Government, we’re excited to keep that momentum going by continuing to make major investments in the community.

This spring, Orange County Community Redevelopment Agency/Board of County Commissioners approved donating an acre of land off Woods Street in Holden Heights for the construction of affordable housing.  The four properties included in this donation will be aggregated with existing land we already own on this street to construct a 1.5-acre mixed-product residential development that serves as an example of how quality affordable housing can be successfully integrated into an existing community.

This development is set to include roughly 25 additional units and will hopefully spur further investment in the area.  In the last 10 years, Orange County has donated nearly 30 properties, making affordable homeownership a reality for about 50 Central Florida families.

Back in Bithlo

For Builders Blitz 2027 coming up in February, we are excited to partner with local builders to build six homes in Bithlo. This will be the first time since 1995 that we’ve built new homes in this east Orange County community.  Thanks to PulteGroup, Park Square Homes and PCL Construction for being the first three to sign on to the project.! If you’re interested in learning more or getting involved, visit HabitatOrlando.org/Blitz

More plans in Pine Hills

In mid-2027, we have plans to break ground on a new residential project near Pine Hills. Stay tuned for more details!

Sell or Donate Your Land

Land acquisition and having a healthy pipeline of land to build on is the number one cost factor that limits our ability to build more affordable housing, so land and monetary contributions are pivotal to continuing our mission. Learn how you can sell or donate your land at HabitatOrlando.org/Land
