Meet Robin, one of our Orange County Financial Empowerment Center clients!
A first-generation college student coming from a lower-income household, Robin set out to enrich his financial literacy and explore ways of improving his finances. He discovered the FEC after a Google search for financial advising and took that next step after learning about this free, local resource.
Ralph, one of our Financial Empowerment Counselors, met with Robin and spent time getting to know him holistically. Ralph familiarized himself with Robin’s lifestyle and determined how it informs his financial decision-making. Together, they created an individualized plan to improve Robin’s financial wellness.
Through this plan, Robin was able to increase his savings, boost his credit score, and pay off his car! And what’s more, FEC counseling has given Robin long-term tools, strategies, and confidence so that instead of working for his money, his money now works for him. Congrats, Robin!
