Introducing the Housing Path Finder
Finding the path to reach your housing goals can feel overwhelming, but Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County is here to help. Our new Housing Path Finder makes it easier to discover which of the services we offer best fit your goals. All you have to do is answer a few quick questions to get matched with resources for housing readiness, financial security and home repair.
We have found that many people who might be good candidates for our services were disqualifying themselves, assuming that Habitat Orlando & Osceola wouldn’t be for them. The Housing Path Finder aims to get our neighbors to reconsider what could be possible when they partner with us.
COMMON ASSUMPTION:
“This is only for people ready to buy a home now.”
THE TRUTH:
The Housing Path Finder can suggest resources for homeownership readiness, financial stability, and eligible home repairs—not only immediate home purchase.
COMMON ASSUMPTION:
“My income or credit automatically disqualifies me.”
THE TRUTH:
Requirements vary by program. Housing and financial counseling may help users understand options and prepare for future goals.

Who We Help

Hannah
Hannah is a Habitat Orlando & Osceola homeowner who also participates in our free one-on-one financial counseling program through the Orange County Financial Empowerment Center.
“Owning my home provided a solid ground I had never known,” Hannah said. “For the first time, I was able to lift my head out of survival mode and finally ask myself: ‘What does it look like to truly thrive?’“
Austin
Austin is also a Habitat Orlando & Osceola homeowner who works in banking. He said purchasing his own home in 2025 paved the way for him to build the life and future of his dreams.
“[Homeownership is] a powerful step toward financial independence and personal freedom,” Austin said. “Most importantly, it will give me the foundation I need to thrive, feel secure, and build the life I’ve always envisioned.”
Donya
Donya is a mail carrier and mother of three who said she’s seen her and her children’s quality of life vastly improve since purchasing her home from Habitat Orlando & Osceola in 2021.
“I can see my work is paying off through [my children],” Donya said. “I know that I’ve done something right because I can see the fruits of my labor through them.”
