Mitsubishi Power joined forces with Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country, including Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County, for its national Impact Day, aimed at building strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. This month, 60 Mitsubishi Power employees helped raise the walls of a brand-new Habitat home in Orange County’s Holden Heights neighborhood.
Once complete, the home will be sold to a local family with an affordable mortgage.
“Affordable and stable housing is not just about shelter—it’s the foundation for thriving individuals, families, and communities,” said Catherine Steck McManus, president & CEO, Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County. “We are grateful for the support of our partners like Mitsubishi Power that help us pioneer housing solutions and transform communities in Central Florida.”

This was the second time in recent months the two organizations have come together to make a difference. In November, 60 Mitsubishi Power team members built and decorated three playhouses that were donated to the families of three Habitat homeowners. The playhouses now provide safe and imaginative spaces for the families’ youngest members to play and grow.
These efforts are part of Habitat Orlando & Osceola’s broader commitment to not only build houses but strengthen the foundation of home as a place where health is nurtured, education is strengthened, and opportunities are unlocked.
Habitat Orlando & Osceola and Mitsubishi Power have now teamed up two years in a row as part of the company’s national Impact Day initiative.
“At Mitsubishi Power, our purpose is to provide reliable energy that empowers people to live fuller, better lives. That same commitment to care extends beyond our operations and into the communities where we live and work,” said Bill Newsom, President & CEO, Mitsubishi Power Americas. “Through our partnership with Habitat for Humanity, we’re proud to continue to expand our impact by bringing employees together across the U.S. to help build stronger communities and create brighter futures.”
