Preparing for below-freezing temperatures here in Central Florida is almost unheard of. That means with forecasts calling for extreme cold and freeze warnings in Orange and Osceola counties, many homeowners may not be familiar with how to prepare for that kind of cold. But there are a few simple steps you can take now to help keep your home safe and warm!

At Habitat, our construction team went around and covered up the outdoor facets on all of our homes under construction. Wrapping them with a cloth and rubber bands will do the trick. Alternatively, you could set them to drip.
