Catherine Steck McManus is a distinguished executive renowned for her leadership at Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County. With more than 25 years of nonprofit experience in Central Florida, she champions the mission to unite communities in building and preserving affordable homes, fostering neighborhoods, and instilling hope. McManus is a fervent advocate for fair housing policies, embodying the belief that safe, affordable housing is a fundamental right for all.

McManus’ dedication to affordable housing is evident in her various roles and recognitions. In 2019, Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings appointed her to the Housing for All Workgroup, highlighting her expertise in the field. She spearheaded the expansion of Habitat Greater Orlando to include Osceola County, amplifying support for affordable housing across Central Florida. Additionally, her appointment to the Orange County Affordable Housing Advisory Board in 2023 underscores her influence in shaping local housing policies.

McManus is committed to addressing the housing crisis head-on. She has been instrumental in creating initiatives such as Face the Housing Crisis™, which illuminates the challenges faced by Central Florida families and advocates for policy change, and Cornerstone Housing™, a collaboration with regional leaders that aims to restore balance in the local housing market.

McManus serves on the boards of Habitat for Humanity Florida and the U.S. Council for Habitat for Humanity International, demonstrating her commitment to the organization’s global mission. In 2024, she joined the CareerSource Central Florida Board and the NSF Engine Advisory Board, highlighting her dedication to workforce development and her passion for fostering innovation in science and technology.
