Alcides has always had a deep appreciation for the importance of a stable home, and that has driven his career, his volunteer work with Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola, and his vision for his young daughter’s future.
His Habitat homeownership journey began in 2022 when Alcides started volunteering with Habitat Orlando & Osceola through his employer. By 2024, he had become a crew leader, who leads volunteer groups. This experience inspired him to apply for the homeownership program himself.
“Everyone deserves a good and affordable place to grow up with their family,” Alcides said.

Alcides’ 1-year-old daughter is his greatest motivation. “She is the most wonderful girl in the world and motivates me to make good choices in life,” he said.
Currently, Alcides rents a small space for himself and his daughter, but his goal of owning his own home is now a reality, thanks to Habitat Orlando & Osceola and local builder Williams Company.
Alcides’ home was completed during Home for the Holidays in December 2024. Williams Company, along with their subcontractors and vendors, donated the labor and materials to build the home. He will pay an affordable mortgage.
“When I see the homeowners’ faces when they sign at the closing, it’s just a perfect moment and the beginning of a historic milestone in your family’s history,” he said.
After closing on his new home, the first thing Alcides planned to do is install a fence in the backyard for his daughter to play safely. Owning a home will enhance their quality of life, providing a place to thrive and grow.
He looks forward to inviting his mom, sister, and the rest of the family to celebrate their homecoming.
Thank you, Williams Company, for making Alcides’ goal of homeownership a reality! He is excited about the bright future that lies ahead for his family.
