At this time in our nation’s history, we are realizing how immensely important it is to have a safe, affordable home as families face not only a public health crisis, but also an economic crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic. We need Habitat supporters to advocate for affordable housing to the U.S. Congress as we face the potential for housing instability.
One in three Central Florida families are already cost-burdened, paying more than 30 percent of their income on housing. As schools close and businesses cut hours, many families that Habitat serves will be hit the hardest as they deal with even more financial instability.
We need you to advocate for affordable housing.
Congress is working to create economic relief, and Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County is joining with our fellow Habitat affiliates in driving these relief efforts to support our homeowners and other low-income families financially hurt by the pandemic.
We’re also asking for financial support for nonprofits. All our work will be so important in the recovery period after this pandemic.
Join us in calling on members of Congress to prioritize the needs of low-income families and the organizations that work hard to serve them.
We want to ensure every family has a stable place to call home – and that nonprofits have the resources to serve these families.
